Vinyasa Flow

 

A challenging, fiery practice, based in Ashtanga teachings. Focus is on gaining a healthy connection to your core, and building strength and flexibility (both mentally and physically) from a place of solid alignment. Vinyasa comes from the Sanskrit “nyasa”--to place--and “vi”--in a special way. This word applies to every aspect of the practice: how we connect the mind to the breath, the breath to the body, the body to the poses, and how a teacher threads the poses into a full sequence.

 

Beginner

 

An in-depth look at the healthy use of the body, with clear introduction to and investigation of the core poses of the practice. The ability to move with freedom comes from discipline. In this class, we take the time to explore and grow out of the habits that are holding us back.  

 

Restorative 

 

Low to the ground, gentle, and therapeutic, Restorative Yoga is just what you need if you are recuperating from an injury or looking for a reset from a stressful week at work or in your personal life. A combination of gentle dynamic movement and long, relaxing stretches for the shoulders, lower back, hips, and anywhere else that might be carrying pain or tension.
